Heavy-Lift Discharging & Unloading Support Project: 12 Kalmar RTG Cranes
The engineering project to support the roll-off unloading, receiving, and commissioning of 12 new Kalmar RTG cranes at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Port represents a major milestone in the overarching modernization and green terminal transition driven by Saigon Newport Corporation and Tan Cang Technical Services JSC (tancangtech).
This project is an integral element of Tan Cang Tech’s long-term strategy to master advanced port crane technologies, expanding technical capabilities across new-generation, energy-efficient container gantry cranes with lower lifecycle maintenance and operational costs.

Scope of Work: Technical Support & Roll-off Unlashing for 12 Kalmar RTGs
- Technical unlashing and seafastening release support for 12 RTG cranes
- Supply of specialized heavy bridging ramps and transition equipment for crane roll-off from heavy-deck vessel to terminal quay
- Provision, hookup, and continuous operation of high-capacity mobile diesel generators to supply temporary electric power for self-propelled gantry travel from berth to final yard staging positions
- Engineering guidance and escort to safely maneuver RTG cranes across terminal traffic lanes to designated yard blocks
- Technical advisory, real-time troubleshooting, and seamless inter-agency coordination with partner teams to ensure total marine and heavy-lift safety
