On November 2 and 3, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Newport Corporation (Vietnam People’s Navy), in coordination with the Military Trade Union Board, organized the 2023 Trade Union Professional Training Program for grassroots trade union officials across the entire corporation.
Attending the training conference were Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, Head of the Military Trade Union Board; Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Loi, Deputy Head of the Military Trade Union Board; Senior Colonel Pham Khoa Nam, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department, Naval Political Department; Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Thanh Xuan, Head of the Training Department at Vietnam Trade Union University. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation, presided over the conference.
At the opening session, Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc briefed delegates on the key outcomes of the 10th Military Trade Union Congress (2023–2028), the Congress Action Plan, and launched new patriotic emulation movements within the military trade union system, followed by thematic presentations on Trade Union Organizational Models in the Vietnam People’s Army.
Over the 2-day program, grassroots trade union cadres across Saigon Newport delved into core operational practices: trade union financial accounting in the Vietnam People’s Army; propaganda, ideological education, and emulation movement organization; leadership qualities and digital skills for union cadres in the Industry 4.0 era; and held interactive Q&A sessions addressing practical operational recommendations.

The training conference provided a valuable forum for sharing practical management experience and successful models between member units and subsidiary companies, consolidating professional knowledge, enhancing union leadership competencies, and contributing significantly to the successful fulfillment of defense-military missions and business production goals across Saigon Newport Corporation.
