Project Report: Heavy-Lift and Oversized Cargo Transport for Hiep Phu Production Line
Client: Hiep Phu Company
Project Location: Hiep Phu New Plant Construction Site
Execution Period: Q3 / 2016
Scope of Work: Stevedoring, barging, heavy-haul highway transport, and precision positioning of oversized, heavy-lift industrial machinery components directly from the wharf to the industrial plant, ensuring absolute safety, engineering precision, and tight schedule adherence.
Client Feedback: Highly impressed by modern heavy machinery, skilled engineering personnel, and seamless execution, ensuring zero cargo damage and smooth handover.
Engineering Challenges and Technical Solutions
The transport route from the river port to the factory site traversed lengthy urban segments with dense civilian traffic, tight corner radii, and low-hanging electrical power lines. Tan Cang Tech executed a rigorous engineering mitigation plan:
- Multi-Agency Route Clearances: Coordinating with local electrical utilities to temporarily lift or de-energize overhead cables, and obtaining specialized transport permits from transport departments.
- Multi-Axle Hydraulic Lowbeds: Deploying multi-axle modular hydraulic trailers with active suspension to evenly distribute heavy axle loads over aged highway bridges and culverts.
- Night-Time Convoy Escorts: Executing transport operations exclusively during designated low-traffic night hours under dedicated escort vehicle management.
Through meticulous engineering planning and field expertise, Tan Cang Tech successfully completed the delivery, offloading, and foundation positioning of all oversized machinery modules, earning high commendation from the project investor.
